Room 7 Voting 2020

According to Room 7 they voted for 7 different party's. The Labour Party has The most votes and is the most popular party. Mr Wood has been selected to represent the local area.

Informal vote are not able to be enter so that means that you can't vote.If you write your name, do x it will not be entered so when you do your voting put a tick.

Holiday Blogging Task 1: Be Internet safe

What is MMP?

Today i'm going to be explaining what MMP stands for 

Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) is the system we use in New Zealand to vote our Member of Parliament (MPs). MMP will be used in the upcoming election in 2020.

MMP is made up of 72 Electorate seats, including 7 Maori electorate seats. There are usually 120 MP's who will represent every voter in New Zealand.

Each voter on election day has two votes, one is a party vote and the second vote is called electorate vote

If I was Prime Minister

Today I was learning to write an argument about what I would do if I was Prime Minister.

What I found difficult was trying to write exactly 300 but could only write 222.

What I like about writing this is that when I grow up and if I am the Prime Minister I would look at this piece of writing and do all of this.

First If I was prime minister of New Zealand I would make prices from every market,supermarket,liquor store,malls and more places like that to be lower price’s. I would give out food to the schools who don’t have much supplies for the people who are hungry and who don’t have lunch or food. I would make all education all schools free and I would make no private schools.

People that are struggling with money will earn at least 5 grand every fortnight to help with their needs and and every one will get .I would take away school fees for the people that are struggling to pay school fees making New Zealand everyone getting paid the same,every pool is for free. I would change New Zealand's house’s to be bigger nicer  house’s no more rent. I would give out more stuff like that.The mall would be much bigger and we can go anywhere with it being safe. 

No snakes, no deadly things in New Zealand and make fun places for kids and more restaurants better jobs more things are more affordable more playgrounds  and places like jump,extreme,Gravity and things like that to be cheaper. Making NZ safe, I would also give away unlimited 

PlayStation 2-PlayStation 5. The last thing I would do is take away all poverty and make all poor feel happy and make everything equal no matter what color nor relougen

Object/Goal:The goal is to score points against people

How to play: First you go pair and either go to goal 1,2,3,4,5 or 6. Next you and your pair decide who is going to be a goal keeper and the other one to go attack the other goals. Then when you and your pair decide one person starts with the ball  you are allowed to hit it with a open palm,bonce it or kick it.

Penalty:You will be penalised if you pick up the ball or hold it.

Out of the game:If you are play with alot of people you can always swap back in when someone gets out.

Today we were learning to write a recount

What I enjoyed was writing about what I did with my friends

What I found challenging was remembering what to write

My Next steps are to write a whole heap more.

On Monday 3rd August me and my class went and met face to face with a man on the small field his name was undo. He came with a big activity called Hungerball. He explained the instructions for the activity .

 

When we were about to start we had to line up into two lines: a boys line and a girls line. When we went in we paired up and started we had multiple games The first was Football next was Hockey the last one was a handball game called Endgame.

The best thing about it was I could play a fun a game  with my friends and my class and we got to get health bars.

Have you ever played hungerball if not ask your sports teacher to get them to come to your school.

The school Powhiri

Hello Today I am going to be explaining about what I experienced in our school  today.

Today in the hall we had a powhiri for our principle. Mr Reedy invited the school he came from and he was the DP (Depute Principle) There Tamaki Primary School

Powhiri

Hello today we have been learning and understanding about what a powhiri is.

A powhiri is a Maori tradition. It is a welcoming ceremony. In a powhiri you will find the Manuhiri (Visitor(s) the Tangata Whenua (people of the marae) and more interesting guest.

You will also notice that when they walk the Manahiri into the marae 

will be a lady in front leading them in and another lady at the main area singing a greeting to welcome the Manahiri.

The Tangata Whenua will sing there waiata. Then at the end the Manuhiri will do a hongi with the Tangata Whenua. 

What I enjoyed about this was learning was every thing

What I found challenging was writing it in my own words

My next goals is to write a lot more paragraphs.

Students Toolkit

What I found interesting about toolkit is that there were so many toolkits and so much people willing to have a go at online thing's.

I enjoyed the toolkit because there were a lot of people from our cluster Owairaka primary,New Windsor primary,Wesley int,Christ the king,May road,Wesley primary and Dominion road. When we went to the google meet 

What I learnt about at toolkit is a lot of thing's, I learnt about kahhot and how to make a quiz on kahoot

and how to use spreadsheets etc.

What I found challenging is sometime's when I tried to join a chat it kept on freezing.

Today me and my buddy Minerva Enjoyed presenting our toolkit in front of people. I also enjoyed learning about data validation myself

Tivaivai

What I found interesting about Tivaivai is that there is two types of tivaivai the first one I found out is Tivaivai Manu Probably the most common type of tivaevae, this type of tivaevae features cut-out patterns sewn applique-style on to a solid colour backing. Designs are cut out similar to paper snowflakes, by folding the fabric into quarters or eighths.

Tivaivai tataura Both tivaevae manu and tataura are made from cut-outs applied on a solid back. Tivaevae tataura also includes embroidery stitches used to embellish the design.
The name for this art form is sometimes spelled ‘tivaivai,’ and the meaning of the word itself is “patchwork.”

Emotions

Today we are learning about our emotions

I get nervous when my teacher hot-seats me.
I get angry when my siblings hit me.
I feel restless when I do things everyday non-stop.
I feel unsure when the teacher dose confusing maths.

I feel pleased when I play at school.
I feel positive when I play fortnite at home.
I feel joyful when my friends talk to me.
I feel happy when my teacher dose reading writing and maths.

I feel chilled when I sleep
I feel respected when my friends don't annoy me
I get content that I have a good teacher
I feel relaxed at school

I get bored when I play outside at school.
I feel tired when I go home.
I get confused when my friends don't talk right.
I feel deflated when my teacher makes the learning to hard when I can't understand it.

The thing that I enjoyed the most is writing about my emotions. The challenging thing was writing about about my feeling because I don't really tell people my feelings. My next steps are to check my writing.

It all began by a man eating a Flying mammal a bat and as soon as he got a virus it went travailing across the world going from country to country from person to person and from object to object. The Virus was going all over the world but the pacific island when it came to New Zealand 
Our priministir said that we are going into alert level four.we couldn't go out of our house to be continued.

Gnomes Vs Troggs

Boom!,Thud! As I heard a loud bump up the stairs I quickly ran upstairs and the boxes were shaking and falling. “ is anyone there?” ” I just moved in So I'm new here” I whispered. When the box was still on the ground I was shocked because I saw gnomes and then I fainted. When I woke up my mum was back and she woke me up. I was dreaming about last night. Wow! “A portal” all of a sudden the gnomes said code red the Troggs are here “what are Troggs?” purple balls that eat anything . To be continued!.
